Just Another Day In Wonderland

So me again, so this week keeping with the One Tree Hill theme.
I have been keeping an eye on Bethany Joy Galeotti, as you probably know Bethany and her Family have opened a new restaurant in Battleground, Washington called Galeotti's.
They also have a blog for Galeotti's where they keep fans up to date on how the restaurant is coming along, and have polls asking people their opinions on new changes and ideas so go along and visit their blog let them know you are supporting them. http://www.battlegroundrestaurant.com/

Hello, Hello, Hello

So me again, sorry i no im rubbish at this whole keeping things up to date.
So this week whilst i have had some time on my hands i have been religiously listening to Kate Voegele's new album- A Fine Mess, and what can i say this album is pure genius, i love how she gives up the poppy piano and brings out the guitar giving the album a more gritty pop feel to it, very disco grunge :-).
To think how far this girl has come in such a short amount of time, from myspace to playing Mia Catalano in The CW's One Tree Hill.
My favourite track on this album is Manhattan In The Sky and although it is a piano ballad it is a beautifully written song.
You can just paint a picture in your head of what Kate is singing about especially the chorus when she sings.
"You are my Manhattan from the sky, You look so neat and tidy when I’m way up high, But I know your streets are lined with a fine mess inside
And I wanna come down and walk around your mind."
The lyrics seem to come across as her comparing her feelings for someone to looking down at the skycrapers of Manhattan give us an interesting insight into her feelings.

In summary if your looking for something not quirky but different Kate should tick all those boxes, you could compare her to the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Marie Digby and Michelle Branch.
But i personally believe she is like them and more, she has a unique quality that shines out from the rest, and i dont believe she is done with her music creativity just yet and we will see a lot more from her.

One tree hill

So as you know i am a wee bit obsessed with One Tree Hill i have been watching since the show started, although i do kind of admit the i sort of forgot about season 2 being back on and only started watching again from the school shooting, but dont worry no need to panic i am fully up to date with all seasons now, which kind of works against me seeing as im from the U.K and season 6 hasnt even aired over here yet.
So im finding it extremely hard to talk about everything that has happened in season 6 as no one has watched it aaargh.
So how gutted am i that leyton have left :-( i mean as much as i love naley, leyton were my fav ( well after jake and peyton-jayton?)and i appreciate mark schwann wanted it to be like that i just think as an avid fan, that maybe they should of all finished season 7 together then no more, i mean they have been together for the first 6 seasons.
But although alot of fans have been complaining about how Lucas and Peyton left i think Mark did it the right way it wasnt too over the top no-one died and simply beautiful (although i must admit baby sawyer looked a lot older than she was supposed to be).
So even if this will be the last season it has been fun listening to denise's podcasts with past/present crew, musicians etc you can catch her on http://blueaeryn.blogspot.com/.
The other thing i'll miss once oth is over is the music, as everyone knows this plays a huge part in the shows storylines and i dont think anyone can fault lindsay wolfingtons choice of music, she has introduced us to some special artists and that the fans can be forever thankful.
so r.i.p leyton and season 6 roll on season 7 whoop whoop.

Gavin DeGraw "free"

I'm sitting here listening to Gavin's new album for the first time, with only nine tracks to the CD some would say it was short and sweet. My first impression is that this album is a lot more low key than "Chariot".
The first track is a cover of Chris Whitley's "Indian Summer", which was a different sound for Gavin i felt, listening through the album, it seems that this style is really suited to Gavin's voice and seems to reflect him, it really suits him well.
Although this album doesn't have the quirkiness of "Chariot" and may not give him a hit on the radio, his fans will know this is the sort of music he is suited to and does well on.
On "Chariot" Gavin was probably most noted for his single "I Don't Want To Be" which also acted as the theme tune for "One Tree Hill"
The album was acclaimed for fusing together soul, rock and pop, and singing about things that people from all walks of life could relate to.
Personally, I like that his style has changed without all the over produced music in the background you can really get closer to Gavin and can really listen and pay attention to the lyrics.
Although Gavin and his crew did this album speedily it is still a great sound and worth every minute spent listening to it.

blog 1

Man what a long day i have had since i didnt get in till 3.30am saturday morning after a long night partying, my very inconsiderate friends decide to call me at 9am for a chat (dont they realise i would be hung over 12 shots and 6 double vodka lemonades later....messy times) So i decide i would catch some sun today seeing as it made a rare appearance (it is england after all, the place where it does nothing but rain...well according to naley anyways) so after gettin a bit of colour...and by colour i mean lobster red, i head back to the pub, no alcohol this time just diet coke to watch my football team (soccer team for americans) chelsea play, and we won the cup final woo hoo, and well that was exciting as my day got lol.
So its 12.33 am and i should really be in bed considering i have work at 8am (bad times) im kind of new to this so not sure how much fun i will be for the time being :-S, so if any of you have been following britains got talent ow happy am i that diversity won over susan boyle, if you missed it watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJIz8BgRQc0.
So been a bit behind on the blogging still finding my way around and trying to figure out how to use it, so bear with me for a while i will get the hang of it eventually.
So if you had read my intro part on my blog you would know i love everything one tree hill, hilarie burton (a.k.a peyton sawyer) is my favourite actress and a real inspiration, i love everything she has done from mtv, one tree ill, the secret life of bees (although a small part still good) and little britain usa (too funny) so it no surprise i enjoy following her, nick gray and kelly tenney with their new project-southern gothic productions check it out for yourself on http://www.sogopro.com/ or http://southerngothicproductions.blogspot.com .
